SourceSpecHex is a catalog of earthquake source parameters for hexagonal France (mainland France and Corsica).
Note: The catalog is obtained from an automated processing and might contain errors.
Source parameters are computed via SourceSpec, through the inversion of the S-wave displacement spectra. The computed parameters are:
A wave attenuation factor, t*, is also inverted from the high-frequency spectral fall-off, from which an average quality factor Qo is computed.
See the SourceSpec documentation for more details on how the code works.
The input catalog is provided by BCSF-Rénass and continuously updated. The selection criteria are:
criterion | value |
---|---|
start date | 2016-01-01 |
end date | continuously updated |
geographic box (mainland France) | 41.3°N, 51.6°N, -6.0°E, 9.8°E |
geographic box (Corsica) | 40.9°N, 43.4°N, 7.6°E, 10.4°E |
minimum Rénass magnitude | 2.5 |
Waveform data and metadata are provided by Résif-EPOS and nearby european networks, through the European Integrated Data Archive (EIDA). Additional data is provided by the RaspberryShake network.
